If you are planning to send a package from your country to Canada, you may download the Canada customs invoice template. Once the package is sent, the recipient will be the one to pay all associated taxes. The package should come with the invoice – complete with the all the details of the items being shipped from description and weight to quantity and price.
How to Complete a PDF or Word Form Template
Step 1 – Download the Adobe PDF (.pdf) format of the customs invoice template.
Step 2 – Start the commercial invoice PDF by filling up the Vendor’s Name and Address on Section 1 and followed by Date of Direct Shipment to Canada (yyyy/mm/dd) on Section 2. Fill the Section 3 with the buyer’s order information or some other references.
Step 3 – On Section 4, indicate the name and address of the consignee. Sections 5 and 6 should include the name and address of the purchaser (if different from the consignee) as well as the country of transshipment respectively. Section 7 is where you write the country where the goods originated.
Step 4 – Section 8 of the commercial invoice Canada requires the input of mode and place of direct shipment to Canada and followed by Conditions of Sale and Terms of Payment on Section 9. Then, write the Currency of settlement on Section 10.
Step 5 – In order, enter the total number of packages, specification of commodities (type of package, quantity, unit price and total on Sections 11 to 15.
Step 6 – On Section 16, enter the total weight gross and net, and then the invoice total on Section 17. Section 18 involves a box that you will check if any of fields from 1 to 17 are included on an attached commercial invoice. Sections 19 and 20 are where you enter the name and address of the Exporter and Originator. Indicate Agency Ruling on Section 21.
Step 7 – Section 22 of Canada customs form contains a box that you will check if sections 23 to 25 are not applicable. Section 23 is where you calculate 23(i) + 23(ii) + 23(iii) while Section 24 is for calculating 24(i) + 24(ii) + 24(iii) Section 25. If applicable, put a check on 25(i) and 25(ii).
